Self-driving cars are not a solution since they make driving even more comfortable, hence more attractive. A voluntary switch from cars to PT will hardly work. Increased e-bikes and bicycles, more pedestrians, and even more public transport could work. Furthermore, research should focus more on utopias than it is done nowadays.
