Summary
Raw materials scarcity and ecological aspects require the changeover trom diesel engines to electric service. Though, there is a vast range of electrical drive systems. Therefore, the aim is the development of a assessment tool which can be used as base for well-founded system decisions, for operators as well as political stakeholders.
