The Conservation of Risk: Insights from Einstein at ETH Zurich
This seminar will explore the risks associated with transporting hazardous materials by rail, showing how these risks are shifted to various parties like governments and communities. Through this discussion, I hope to explain how risk management works and why working together is crucial for keeping everyone safe.

About
Professor Morteza Bagheri is an Associate Professor jointly-appointed in School of Railway Engineering & School of Industrial Engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST). PhD in Transportation Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada and a BSc in Railway Transportation Engineering from IUST, complemented by an MSc in Management of Logistics and Transportation from Chalmers, University of Technology, Sweden and postdoctoral research in Management Science at McGill University, Canada. Currently, Chancellor of IUST's International Campus. As the Director of the Transportation Systems and Logistics (TSL) Research Lab, Morteza works with a team 20 of passionate, knowledgeable, and industrious graduate students.
